Dean Acheson with John Deere talks about John Deere's Overall Integrated Solution Strategy, and how it can benefit profitability and efficiency on your farm.
Hello. My name is Dean Acheson. I'm with John Deere. I'm here to talk about a couple of items from John Deere. As many of you probably know, our company's around 174, almost 175 years old, and John Deere just recently enjoyed our largest introduction of new products in our 174 year history. That included everything from Gators, our utility line, expanding, all the way up to and through tractors from 70 horsepower all the way up through 560 horsepower tractors.
Being among those products, we also introduced our new S series combines, which comes with five models, and available for the folks across North America around the world.
Another item that we talked about at our new product introduction was our Overall Integrated Solution Strategy. I want to take just a moment and talk just a little bit about our Overall Integrated Solution Strategy and how that helps you as a customer from a profitability and efficiency perspective.
The item that I'm going to talk about specifically is that of machine optimization. If you look at some of the new products that we introduced at our product introduction that I just referenced, many of those products come with JD Link. JD Link is a tool that allows customers, or owners of equipment to be able to track, monitor, and manage their equipment, be it on a single unit or on a fleet basis.
What that allows you to do from an efficiency perspective is to understand how your product is running, if it's being maximized from a productivity perspective, and also helps you manage and monitor things such as fuel levels or if I need to change that oil filter.
Another interesting item that comes along with John Deere Link, or JD Link, is the fact that the tractor or the piece of equipment can actually send a message to you indicating that it might need some information, or it might need some repairs or maintenance done on that piece of equipment.
So, the next time you get a call on your cell phone, it might not be from your office or your wife or your husband, for that matter. It might actually be the tractor calling you.
For more information on anything that I've covered today, be it the new products or John Deere Link, or overall farm site Integrated Solution Strategy, please visit your local John Deere dealer or go to johndeere.com. Thank you for your time
